IPTV Username and Password: Where to Find Them and How to Keep Them Safe

Updated 1 min read

A padlock and notebook next to a remote control

Your IPTV username and password come from your provider, usually in a welcome email or account page after you subscribe. They're separate from any password you set for a player app. If you've lost them, ask your provider; don't use credentials found online, which belong to someone else's account or an unlicensed service.

Where to find your login

  • The welcome or activation email from your provider. Search your inbox (and spam folder) for the provider's name.
  • Your account area on the provider's website, if it has one.
  • Inside a playlist URL: many M3U links contain the username and password as part of the address, so treat the whole URL as a secret.

Entering it correctly

  • Usernames and passwords are usually case-sensitive.
  • Type them by hand if pasting fails; pasting can add hidden spaces.
  • Enter them in the matching fields alongside the server URL. See the Xtream Codes login guide.

Keeping your login safe

  • Don't share it outside your household or post screenshots that show it.
  • Store it in a password manager rather than a note on your TV stand.
  • Only enter it into player apps from official app stores.
  • Avoid pasting your playlist URL into online tools or public forums.

If you think it has leaked

  1. Contact your provider and ask for a password reset or new credentials.
  2. Update the login on each of your devices.
  3. Check that unknown devices aren't using your connections. Unexplained “connection limit reached” errors can be a sign.

App PINs vs. account passwords

A parental-control PIN in your player app protects channels on that device only; it's not your service login. If you forget an app PIN, the fix is in the app (sometimes a reset or reinstall), not with your provider.
