To tell whether your IPTV service is down, test a few channels, then a second device or app on the same network. If nothing plays anywhere while your internet works for everything else, the service is likely having an outage. If it works on one device but not another, the problem is on your side, and usually quick to fix.
Step 1: Check your internet
Open a website or another streaming app on the same device. If those fail too, restart your router and device; the issue is your connection, not the IPTV service.
Step 2: Try several channels
If only one or two channels fail, those streams are the problem. Report the channel names to support; there's nothing to fix at home.
Step 3: Try another device or app
- Load the same channels on a phone or computer.
- Or test your playlist in VLC; see open an M3U playlist in VLC.
- Works elsewhere? The first device or its player app is the issue; see “Failed to get data from server” errors and slow-loading channels for typical app fixes.
Step 4: Check your account
- Has the subscription expired or failed to renew?
- Are other devices using all your simultaneous connections?
- Did you recently change your password?
Step 5: Check for an outage notice
Look for a status page, email or announcement from your provider. If everything above checks out and there's no notice, wait 15–30 minutes and test again: short outages often clear on their own. If it persists, report it to your provider's support team; you may be the first to notice.
What to tell your provider
- When it started, and whether it's all channels or some.
- Which devices and apps you tested.
- Any error message, word for word.
If streams play but keep stopping to buffer, that's a different issue; see fix IPTV buffering.
